01.18.12 Deconstructing W.56th

My grandparents’ house has felt like a treasure chest for as long as I can remember.  Now that my grandma is gone and my grandpa is staying in an assisted-living apartment, the sale of the house is imminent and the objects within it are taking new meaning.

My grandpa, Bob Stacke, visiting the home he lived in for nearly 50 years of his 63 year marriage to my grandma Betty.  Some of the furniture has been moved to the assisted-living apartment where he’ll stay until he decides whether or not to sell the house.
