12.14.11 Visiting W.56th II

with 4 comments

My grandpa, Bob Stacke, visiting the home he lived in for nearly 50 years of his 63 year marriage to my grandma Betty.  Some of the furniture has been moved to the assisted-living apartment where he’ll stay until he decides whether or not to sell the house.

  2. Your picture captures the memories this room holds for us, reflected in Grandpa’s eyes and the way he is sitting in the chair. So many Christmas Eves. . .

  3. You’re right about the memories, Mom. That carpet was covered in wrapping paper every Christmas Eve….Dad on the couch with his chocolate santa…

  4. That is a powerful picture. I’m not sure if it should, but it makes me pretty sad.
